and Uni claim they are not RACIST???

i read with interest an article from NST - They are simply the best at UM....i'm interested not bcos of the content it is tha caption of the photo tat caught my attention more than the news....

"Mohd Istajib Mokhtar (right) and Liong Wei Li with their gold medals and certificates"

Please look closer at the picture...both of them are wearing songkok....y is a chinese wearing a songkok???

As i read further...the 1st portion talks bout Mohd Istajib having majoring in Islamic studies...so i presume Mr Liong Wei Li is also majoring in Islamic studies....but to my amaze...he's taking economics and his other siblings are professionals as well....

Question :
1) Does he need to wear a songkok??
2) Does Mr Liong wears to suit his coat or has been forced to wear it??
3) Is this how the government shows that they are multinational nation??

As a Uni student myself, we were forced to wear tudung at some point of time, which we resist and the school gave in and requested the scaft to be only worn over the shoulder....

Reality : U don protest, they dont respond...don be a good boy/girl just bcos u wanted to go up stage to receive ur honorable medal.....u jz dump Chinese "face" away.

no comment on it

is it me or most of you are having the same thinking as me....
Sg won their 1st medal in the Olympic after a 48 years of medal drought...well, it should be happy thing for the whole nation taken into consideration, their 1st medal is way back in 1960 Rome Games...and now 2008 Beijing Games...tried so many times and yet return empty handed...wouldnt u be happy for them??
how pathetic a nation can be, when it is revealed that the PingPong paddler who end their 48 years woo actually originated from China and was bought over by Sg and given citizenship...

thus i have a confusion within me, the news states China Gold, SG Silver...but SG player are from China with SG citizenship...doesnt tat mean China Gold & Silver??? maybe most of u wont agree with me...the paddler accepted the citizenship to become a SGian...so they are no longer a Chinaman.... but but but...their base training are from China, they are born and breed in China, their family is in China, their root are in China...i know that most of u will be thinking, even the USA are doing the same thing...yes yes yes...but i don see the rationale of it...

i'm all right with it...but seeing that SGians are now so proud tat they won a medal make me burst into laughter every now and then...thinking they are very "kau bin pui" (thick skin)...but wat to do the Kiasu spirit will never die....the Kiasu bacteria is so deep within them...that the whole nation has been infested and there are stil no cure to it...and they themselves and making a clown out of themselves....

sorry...but i jz don tink u guys should be so happy over the medal....should be prouder when it is really a true SGian who won it....

another thinking strikes

moving out of Penang and into Singapore..seem like the most courageous thing i've ever done...and stepping into singapore...targeting it to work out all fine...but working here is stressful, i would say...and hearing from m Contractor's QS who jz came back from UK...really kept me thinking and longing to go there...do i want to take another leap in my life...since i've done it last year....nevertheless, really hope there will be someone who is willing to go there with me...and i'm not restricting in to my bugbug only ooo.....

should i or shouldnt i...i've been thinking a lot on this question lately...there are so many opportunities available...do i want to proceed and see the "larger" world??? i'm thinking that since i'm still young and no matter how bad i've failed, i've already got something to fall on to...so what is there to lose??? be that as it may, there are also things that i need to take into consideration!!!

a gal who never been to UK before, and not knowing the route and way there really got me the thrill and scariness....anyone intend to go with me????

9 WORDS WOMEN USE

Even though i've read this a couple of times...i found tat it really does compile a checklist to help guys through....haha....

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they areright and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means half an hour.Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five moreminutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothingusually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statementoften misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are anidiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguingwith youabout nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a womencan make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hardbefore deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just sayyou're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unlessshe says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thankingyou at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' ... that will bring on a'whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F@!K YOU!

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaningthis is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, butis now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

I Love my BugBug...

dardar can see that bugbug is very tired due to the friday night hangover...and we were out the whole saturday and sunday...sorry for bugbug still need to make time for dardar even when bugbug wanted to rest at home and get through the weekend with some loitering....additionally bugbug is also sick...bugbug has been sick quite often ever since you started working...dardar was guessing it is from the consequences of the previous sickness that has yet to recover fully...thus the "tail" effects is trailing them into bugbug...bugbug mz take care of yourself...as dardar can only start to take care of your meal by next month...in the meantime, bugbug please eat healthily, drink more water, eat more fruits and have meal that contain varieties...even so, bugbug still come out to meet dardar...that make dardar feel very bad...bugbug should not think that dardar will not be able to get along with "A", as dardar will find her way through the difficult situation like she alwiz do...as for "M" don think too much of the scenario...as she wont be here long..and the next thing u know, she'll be gone and we'll start to miss her bossiness....and bugbug will have less buzz-ing....

i wrote 3...impressive...(Car reversing saves $$, The Mummy 3 & an advise to my fren

i read with interest an article today in the newspaper..that according to a UK study, reverse parking (not side parking, please...in case some readers got confuse) would have u SGD$3* per week (reverse parking done twice daily) as compared to front parking. This is due to the fact that the car needs more than a minute to warm up the engine; and the best way to warm it up is by driving...thus slowly backing ur car out of the parking lot uses 20 times more petrol consumption.

* Singapore petrol priced at S$2.28 per litre

======================

I went to watch "The Mummy : Tomb of the Dragon Emporer"...i was expecting more action and more intense and powerful mummy but to my disappointment; the clash of language make me laugh in the cinema when the scene supposingly to be intense....hhmm....

well, as this episode of "The Mummy" brings upon the clash between the east and west (Dragon Emporer starring Jet Li)...thus there are times when the immortal (starring Datuk Michelle Yeoh); which supposingly live through Han dynasty was able to communicate with the lead actor (starring Brendan Fraser) and actress (starring Maria Bello) in ENGLISH!!!...whilst she has been living on the hill of Himalayas caring for the Immortal Pool...hmm...interesting isnt it....probably she did some self taught and really kept herself up to date with the globalisation that hit the world....

anyway, besides that, at the beginning of the show, the immortal casted a spell upon the Emporer in Sanskrit language..but towards the end when the immortal summone for the rise of the death to fight against the Emporer, the raise was read in English....funnily; the immortal is still using the same spell book for both the occasion....so translation of the spell book has been done?? and all these while i've thought that spells are only effective when read in the language that it is written...funny me or funny director / scriptwriter....

Neway, the ticket is free, so i'm not that heartache...hehe....

======================

An advise to a fren of mine; name and identity not to be revealed...let the past be the past. no use looking back as the other person will not turn back and beg for forgiveness and if the person does, the person is not worth ur love anymore as the person is the 1st to let go of the whole relationship and broken all the promises made. there is no use looking back and thinking back...let the past rest and bring yourself up again...we know it is hard as you have given everything that u can possibly given...but please bear in mind that without you making yourself letting it go fully, there is no way we can help you to overcome the whole recovery period - which everytime u have mentioned that u are all over it; but over time, we stil read ur blog containing the person's footprints....please do not imprison urself inside the hurt that the person has created upon you...it is heartbroken to see u NOT u anymore!!!
